Be present, not just scripted.

As public speakers, we invest a lot of effort in preparing the right message, choosing the perfect words, crafting an engaging opening, and ensuring smooth transitions. These elements are vital, but they’re not enough on their own.

However, if you aren’t in the room with your audience – not physically, but emotionally, mentally, and in some cases spiritually – all the right words lose their impact. Being present is a currency that only holds value while you are on stage—you can’t script this.

Next time you’re on stage, tune into the audience’s energy and let it guide the nuances of your delivery. Be present to solidify your credibility.
